The Challenge at Musket Ridge marks the return of the LPGA's Symetra Tour to Maryland for the first time since 2007.
The Tour hosted two previous tournaments in Maryland, including one event in Queenstown, Md. from 2004-07 and one in Beltsville, Md. from 2004-05. Past winners of the Symetra Tour events in Maryland include current LPGA Tour member Mollie Fankhauser and former LPGA players Candy Hannemann, Simi Mehra, and Ashley Hoagland.
The Symetra Tour has a strong tie to the area as well, with six of its current members residing in Maryland.
