MYERSVILLE, MD – May 2, 2013 – Musket Ridge Golf Club proudly announces its third Love & Liberty Wedding Giveaway. Open to active members of the US military, veterans of the past 12 years or active first responders, the Love & Liberty Wedding Giveaway will provide one couple who serves our community and country a free wedding at Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Damon DeVito, managing director of Affinity Management (www.affinitymanagement.com), which runs Musket Ridge, commented, “Love & Liberty is our way of showing thanks to the men and women risking their lives on the front lines at home and abroad. While we can’t fully show the magnitude of our appreciation, we are delighted to offer this wedding as a gesture of such.”

Musket Ridge opened in September 2001 and that anniversary has long weighed heavy in staff and management’s memory. “With the Love & Liberty Wedding Giveaway, we declare that day as one to honor our military and first responders.”

In 2012, Catoctin Hall donated the Love & Liberty Wedding to Jacqueline Albright and her fiancé, Justin Boone, who both served our country in the military and as first responders. They said,

“Our wedding at Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge was truly the wedding of our dreams. We would never have been able to have such a beautiful day to celebrate with our family and friends without the folks at Affinity Management, Musket Ridge, and all the vendors who donated their services. Our wedding day was absolutely flawless. The venue is just breathtaking. We were truly blessed to have had this opportunity and will be forever grateful.”

For the third year, Musket Ridge will donate a wedding ceremony with sweeping mountain views across one of Maryland’s most beautiful and highly rated golf courses. The chosen couple’s 150 guests will enjoy a seated dinner reception in the light-filled Catoctin Hall and experience exquisite food with superb service. There is no venue fee and all food and non-alcoholic beverages will be donated by Musket Ridge.

Couples may nominate themselves or be nominated by a third party and must compose 50 words or less about why the couple deserves a free wedding at www.musketridge.com/sept11wedding.

Catoctin Hall at Musket Ridge has been called “Maryland’s Best New Event Venue” and is the first zero food waste facility in the United States. Musket Ridge has been one of Golfweek’s top ten golf courses in Maryland for the past 7 years and was recently named the #2 Public Course Within an Hour of Congressional CC by Golf Digest.
