MYERSVILLE, MD - Active-duty military members and first responders could get a wedding for free!

Musket Ridge Golf Club is sponsoring the Love and Liberty Wedding Giveaway, with one lucky couple getting a wedding free-of-charge on September 11th, 2013.

"We feel like it's really important to give back, and it's really important to recognize those people who keep us safe to be able to do what we do each day. Military personnel and first responders put their lives on the line for us," says Bonnie Swanson, event sales manager at Musket Ridge Golf Club.

The couple will get married on the golf course and have a reception for up to 150 guests at Catoctin Hall inside Musket Ridge.

"I think it helps the community because everybody then realizes and puts their attention towards what we are thankful for, what we have. We honor these people," Swanson says. "We're also very fortunate in that when we do put this event on, we have so many other wedding vendors that call and writ us immediately and want to help as well."

Musket Ridge opened in September 2001. Those at the golf course hope the free wedding can give back to those who keep us safe.

"Weddings are very expensive, and they should have all the joys and all the wonderful things that everybody else has and all of us want," Swanson says. "We feel it's really important to give them that really special day."

The contest is open through Thursday, July 4th. To enter, you must write in 50 words or less why you or a couple you are nominating should receive the wedding. To submit your form, click here.
